MSc programme “Green Biotechnology and ICT”
Profile of the degree programme
This Master’s degree programme provides students with expertise knowledge and develop international skills that prepare them for doctoral studies, and/or professional industrial careers in the field of advanced Biotechnologies through integrating modern ICT. Its development in the frame of ERASMUS + programme ensures that, in addition to high specialisation and access to state-of-the-art knowledges, students will follow a core curriculum of studies recognised in different higher education institutions throughout Europe. The 21st Century is considered the Age of Biology& Biotechnology, where scientific and technological progress in life sciences are expected to tackle global challenges, such as depletion of resources, food supply, climate changes and lifestyle diseases. The Master’s Degree Programme “Green Biotechnologies and ICT” aims to enrich and expand students’ knowledge in the field of modern implications of ICT in Biotechnology and to provide abilities to shape a better future and to influence the bio-innovations in sustainable development of the biotech sector. The integration of various IC technologies into the study process, in compliance with Education 4.0 priorities, further supports the academic practice, infrastructure, and ways of higher education delivery in a digital age.
Admission requirements
The candidates for the MSc in ‘Green Biotechnologies and ICT’ must hold a BSc degree in either Biological, Technical, Chemical, Food and agriculture, Medical Sciences or in any other related discipline.
