known as bioinformatics and computer-based biotechnology, is an interdisciplinary field that addresses biological problems using computational techniques, and makes the rapid organization as well as analysis of biological data possible. It is a cross point between computer and biological sciences, dealing with problems of bio-chips and nanotechnologies. This field include also searching for primers, sequencing of peptides and for alternations in DNA. Bioinformatics tools are used to solve problems concerning functional and structural genomics and proteomic, researching the reasons and mechanisms leading to errors in DNA transcription as well as a phylogenetic analysis (evolutionary relationships between different species).
