It is focused on reducing of pollutants by using the living organisms, such as microorganisms and plant, or biological processes, to maintenance and protect the biodiversity in nature. The main aims of Grey biotechnology include waste management, implementation of plastic- and petroleum-eating bacteria and researching of its molecular mechanisms, pollution control, bioremediation tools and protection of fauna and flora from human activities.
